Visual Alerts

Once you have your Heart Rate Zones set up, the next step is managing the feedback you get and see while you are training. Go to Activity Options (Gear) > Options > Zones > My Heart Zones.
Popup Alert
Puts up a visual popup on the device screen showing information regarding heart rate transitions. This will show on the screen for as long as the “Popup Duration” is set (next option)
Popup Duration
Sets the time the Popup Alert will show on screen. Current default 3 seconds.
Audio Alert
When on, this will put a chime sound on transitions up or down.
Local Notifications
When Local Notifications is on, if you put the app while running in the background, it will popup a local notification on heart rate zone changes.
Voice Coaching Options for Heart Rate Zones

Voice coaching feedback on heart rate zone transitions is set with other voice and audio options. We will only cover the Zone Transition options here, see the full article on Working with Audio.
Go to Activity Options (Gear) > Options > Audio & Voice. If not already on, turn on Audio & Voice at the top.
Zone Transition Alerts
Zone Transitions
This is a master switch which will turn off or on audio alerts for Heart Rate transitions.
Zone Number
Reads the Zone Number (Zone 1, Zone 2… etc.)
Zone Name
Reads the Zone Name. Note for fun you can customize your heart rate zones and it will read what you call them. In our Simplified zones, for example, the main zone is called the GO zone. An Advanced Voice feature only.
Zone Range
Reads the Zone BPM range. It’s a great feature for those getting started to learn their zones better. It reads it in ascending order when entering from below (Entering Zone 2 from 100 to 120 bpm), or in descending order if dropping from above to a lower zone (Entering Zone 2 from 120 to 100 bpm).
Target Zone Coaching
This gives you the ability to be prompted every few minutes or so (you set the time interval) on whether you are In, Above or Below a Structured Workout target zone. Only available for Structured Workouts.
